The Guestbook is a check-in book and a room directory for your Monday morning. People sign in at the door in about thirty seconds, and what they are looking for stays somewhere the room can find it all week.
- A page of everyone who was in the room, with their number, their email, and what they are looking for this week.
- Every past Monday kept, so the person somebody described but could not name is still findable in November.
- A referral card that quietly keeps score, so the member carrying the room gets named at the front once a month.
- A way to chip in for the coffee, for the room, or for Patricia Chunn at Willow Tree Events.
- Your roster, with contact details, exportable to a spreadsheet any time you ask.
- This morning’s count, who is here, and who you have not seen in a couple of weeks.
- The Monday post written for you, with every attendee and their ask already in it, ready to paste under your group photo.
- A sponsorship that sells itself, with the money going to you.
Murfreesboro In Motion is free, and it should stay that way. So the book pays for itself out of one sponsorship a month, and everything past that first one is income the group has never had before.

One spotlight covers what you pay me. A spotlight and a coffee sponsor in the same month puts $25 in the group’s pocket, and twelve months of both comes to $900 a year for a group that charges nobody a cent to walk in.

I point it at your own web address, put your badge and your colors through it, and load the roster from whatever list you already keep.

One Monday of signing in
A card on each table with the code on it. People sign in once, and after that it is a name tap. I am in the room that morning if anything needs a hand.

The spotlight opens
The calendar goes live and members can book and pay for a month themselves. You mention it from the front, and the bookings land in your inbox.
- Four
It runs
The card turns on in month two, once there is a month of referrals behind it, and the room has its first top referrer to name out loud.
- The money is yours. Sponsorship and any advertising inside the book goes to Murfreesboro In Motion. It runs through your own payment account, so nothing passes through my hands on the way to you.
- Your information is yours. Everything the room puts in belongs to Murfreesboro In Motion, and I will export all of it to a spreadsheet for you at any time, on request.
- I built it and I own it. The Guestbook is my software, and this gives Murfreesboro In Motion the right to use it for as long as it is useful. It does not transfer the software itself.
- Either of us can stop. Thirty days in writing, and your data comes with you on the way out.
- The venue button needs a yes. The chip-in that goes to Patricia Chunn points at her own account and never touches yours, and it only goes in once she has said she wants it.
- A line reading “Built by She Thrives Software Consulting” stays in the footer.

I have sat in your room on a Monday morning, and the thing I keep coming back to is how much good gets passed across it in an hour. Somebody says the exact name another person needed, it lands, and then the morning is over and everybody drives off.
